This afternoon I came across two men from a construction company working on putting up some sort of industrial fence. As I passed by, one of them set down his cordless drill, smiled, and waved.
“Your buddies are about an hour ahead of ya!!” he yelled across the four lane roadway. This was one of at least 7 updates I got from people I encountered today. People who had no idea where I was coming from, where I was going, or why. They simply knew they had seen someone else that looked like they were probably doing the same thing, and wanted to help.
Sometimes it seems like there’s a lot of things in this world trying to pull us apart. It’s nice to think that maybe, even just a little, these #StupidIdeas help to bring people together.
