2025 #TridgeToBridge240 – Day 2

When I’m out on these adventures I try very hard to, once each day, make a meaningful post sharing something from the road. Some days that’s easier than others. There is always something to say, but finding the time to put it properly down ‘on paper’ can often be a task in itself. The way that I attack this course in particular has a tendency to create just such a scenario. And that’s where I find myself now.

So today I will simply share a few highlights; the things that kept me going over the last nineteen hours since my day began at 2:00 this morning. The overwhelming kindness from nearly everyone I’ve crossed paths with. Tammy & Sam opening their home again this year. Coolers on the side of the road. A handwritten note of encouragement from a 6 year old. The couple who realized I had been walking at least 5 miles since I passed their home, and stopped to offer me a ride. The bank teller who chatted with me over the drive thru intercom, and didn’t at all mind that I waited out the thunderstorm under their overhang.

The world is a wonderful place. I can’t wait to see more of it ❤️
