Tonight, our journey has come to an end here.
After a full day of running in the sun and temperatures approaching 90°F, unfortunately Sean was struggling with cramping that just wouldn’t allow him to run any longer. In the interest of bigger goals yet to come, he made the difficult decision to stop. While I was still moving well, I didn’t come here to prove I could finish. I came here to share the journey with my friend. If this is as far as we can go today, then this is where we will stop together.
Today I was blessed to be able to spend 16 hours, 40 minutes, 20 seconds, and just shy of 57 miles with good friends on a course I love. Today was a great day
