Since 2013, during the first week of February I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Groundhog Marathon. Each year, Don, TJ, and the rest of the crew put on an amazing event, and I’m honored to be one of a very small group able to claim perfect attendance at all 10 of them.
Over the years, we’ve had all types of course conditions; bare pavement to knee deep snow. But regardless of what Mother Nature dishes out, I’ve never regretted coming. This year was no exception. Some years my race goes well – others not so much. Yesterday definitely fell into the latter category.
Nonetheless, I loved every minute of it, and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you to everyone – runners and staff – who made this year just as much fun as all of the rest. See you next year!
